About your entry time

Your date is fixed. Your entry time is confirmed later.

Final entry times depend on guide availability at the Memorial, so the time you pick when booking is a request rather than a confirmation. We email your confirmed time at least 48 hours before your visit.

If your time moves by more than two hours, you decide what happens. We offer you the nearest alternative date. If that does not work either, we refund you in full.

The Museum's rules

These are set by the Memorial, not by us. Visitors arriving on their own are the ones most often stopped at security.

  • Bags. Only small bags are permitted inside. Larger luggage must be left at the left-luggage point.
  • Identification. Bring photo ID. Names on bookings are checked at the entrance.
  • Children. The Museum does not recommend the visit for children under 14.
  • Clothing. Much of the visit is outdoors and Birkenau is exposed. The ground is uneven.
  • Conduct. This is a place of remembrance and a cemetery.
  • Photography. Permitted in most areas without flash. Prohibited in the room of the hair of victims and in the cellars of Block 11.

Questions

Before you book

Are these the same tickets as on the Museum website?
Yes. Entry to the Memorial is administered by the Museum. We hold allocated guided places and book your entry as part of your reservation.
My date is sold out on the official site. Can you still get me in?
Often, yes. Our allocation is separate from the one shown on the Museum’s website. Check the calendar for your date.
Why is your price higher than the Museum’s?
Because it is a different service. The Museum charges for entry. Our price covers entry plus a host who meets you at the Memorial and takes you through arrival, security and finding your guide, the transfer to Birkenau on our own bus, and an office you can reach before and after your visit.
Will I know my exact entry time when I book?
You choose a time, and that is the time we request from the Museum. The Museum allocates final entry times from its own rota, so yours may shift. We confirm the final time by email at least 48 hours before your visit.
What if the time I am given does not suit me?
If your entry time moves by more than two hours from the time you booked, we offer you the nearest alternative date. If no alternative works, we refund you in full.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel at least 48 hours before the start of your visit and you receive a full refund of the tour price. Cancel by email, by phone, or with the Request to Cancel button on your booking confirmation.
Can I change my booking?
Tell us what you need and we will see what is possible. Changes depend on availability on the date you want, so we cannot promise a particular one — but the earlier you write, the more we can usually do.
Can someone else go in my place?
Not once we have submitted the visitor list to the Museum. Names are checked against photo ID at the entrance and cannot be changed afterwards.
Is transport included?
Only if you choose it. Tickets alone include entry, a guide and the transfer between Auschwitz I and Birkenau. Transport from Krakow is a separate option at booking.
